Iran actress wins award in Italy

Periferia dell’impero Film Fest has awarded ifilm star of ‘Leila’s Loneliness’ for her role in ‘The Role’.

Mina Sadati has taken home the Best Actress Award from the Italian Film Festival.

The film directed by Farnoush Samadi, has enjoyed ‘Mina’s Choice’ star and her husband Babak Hamidian as its starring roles.

The 11-minute film narrates the story of a woman who accompanies her husband for an audition. The things that happen at the meeting lead the woman to make an important decision.

Periferia dell' impero is a non-profit cultural event with the aim to support the short films made by independent filmmakers either being amateur or professional.

The 2019 edition of the festival was held on July 12-14, in Campania, Italy.
